Hi guys,
Just nipped over from the tilers forum for a bit of info. I'm trying to get hold of a 6A 98 series fuse for my trani'. The make of fuse is kuoyuh but I only seem to be able to find international sources. Anyone know where I might get one ir similar.

Cheers

Maybe the UK guys will immediately know what a trani' is but I'm not with the lingo unfortunately. My top 3 guesses would be;
1. Transit van
2. Transvestite friend
3. Town on the Italian coast.

But none of them really seem to fit the question very well....;)

Scratch that last post I think I've figured it out. I assume it's a transformer in which case the fuses should be available at any electrical wholesaler or somewhere like RS Compents or Farnell..

I'm not familiar with the '98 series' fuses to be honest, usually a fuse of the right size, current rating and speed will suffice. I' doubt it's a special type with current limiting but it may be HRC so take the old fuse as a sample when you go shopping.

FINALLY !!!!!! found a UK supplier.

Question : The original fuse is 6A , closest I can get is either 5 or 7 , which is best , 5 I assume ?

Cheers

I can't believe you're having such problems sourcing a fuse. Maybe there's an issue with the info you're giving them, for example in the thread title you state it's a 1.5kVA 110v which might be the rating of the transformer but isn't something that would identify the fuse which is just a 6 Amp.

Admittedly 6 Amp is an odd size, usually they're 6.3 Amp. The other important thing is the dimensions which you haven't stated. I'm in Africa so I can't recommend a wholesaler but try here for example Cartridge Fuses | Cartridge Fuses - for online sales of Fuses| RS Components
