13A plug through junction box into double gang socket?

Hi all,

Just moved into a house and typically now finding a fair few issues. Hoping to have an EICR done at some point, would've done this before we bought it but the house was renovated and rewired in 2013/14 and we had the regs papers for it so went ahead without.

A bit of further digging in the kitchen since moving in revealed that the washing machine and dishwasher are both plugged into the wall into double socket, which looks like it runs off behind the sink cupboard through some plastic conduit, into a junction box, which is then connected to single 13A plug. That's also plugged into a double socket with the combi boiler plugged in!

Can't help but feel that's not how it should have been installed... Could this 13A plug in socket -> junction box -> double gang socket setup flag as a C1 or C2 on an EICR or is it actually fine? A bit of searching suggests it's not in line with current regs? Feels like the plugs are far too close to potential leak points as well with the pipework.

There are plug sockets directly above the washer and dishwasher above the worktops, so could get an electrician in to chase down from those if poss. Suppose ideally they would be hard wired in (as well as the boiler!)?

Going to have to get the kitchen redone at some point so would look to sort the electrics at the same time. Cheers for any advice!

Technically it's an extension lead and not part of the fixed wiring.
Yes it is a very rough way to do it and I wouldn't like a washing machine and dishwasher protected with a 13A fuse, as I think if both on they would go over. I could be wrong.

What reg did you find is was contravening?

As above; as far as an EICR is concerned it's an extension lead, so it wouldn't get coded at all, BUT it would definitely be mentioned in the comments section, along with a recommendation to upgrade.
If the kitchen is to be redone in the near future, then that would be the time to sort it, but in the meantime, try not to use the washing machine and dishwasher at the same time.

Ah I would never have thought of it as an extension lead but makes perfect sense!

If fairness I've got no direct ref to a reg so more than happy for it not to be an issue from a regs perspective! Got that idea from elsewhere about similar setups with plug sockets going into junction boxes, but reckon they were feeding a spur off a spur.
