Evening all!

looking for some advice, I’ve been away from the industry for a while now and domestic work’s never been my area of expertise!
I’m changing 2 ovens for new which are rated at 3.65KW.
I have removed the old ovens and found the connections, tape and connector blocks very nice!
I have noticed that both cables are 2.5mm when I was expecting to see 4 or 6mm.
As the max draw on the ovens is approx 16A I am assuming I need to run something a bit more substantial or am I miscalculating this?

Any advice on this will be greatly received.

Many thanks in advance.

that's the worrying bit. 2.5mm cable can carry up to 27A, dependent on whether it runs in insulation.

Thanks for the swift replies!
For some reason I had it in my head 2.5mm was good for around 13A so thats good news!
Yes it’s recent work too! They seem to love Connector blocks they’re on the hob too so a bit of tidying up needed all round!
