yo folks, i am a qualified electrician anit been qualified too long as i am 23. anyhow, i am on jobseekers allowance and everytime i look for a job they want 17th edition sparks. I am 16th qualified, so the job center are kindly putting me through my 17th, got it booked for the 22 of april, but i also have put my myself forward for an intial assessment for the 2391 testing and inspection exam, which is a week come friday which is a small exam to see if i can do the course and exam, whats in the intial assessment and has anyone got any idea what to revise or any gd revision sources for me to look at, like i say its a 45 min written exam to see if i can go on the 'actual' course.

regards,

marcus.

Not done the pre-assessment, but off the top of my head things to brush up on would be,

Safe Isolation Procedures
Earthing arrangements
RCD operating times
Drawing a supply circuit from the DNO Transformer to the end using equipment.

A good way is to trawl through the inspect and test threads, look at the inital query and try to find the answer in the BRB

The Exam Success book for the course is quite good as most of the questions asked in the actual exam are also in the book (or very similar)

Good Luck

cheers m8 have downloaded that and looked through it, seems there is alot of information there with regards to the exam, in your personal opinion was this enough for you to pass, did you feel this covered what was asked in the exams throughly all the notes and revision inside the .rar file?
