Just got a call from the collage I was studying to find out I have failed both the 2394 and 2395. I asked them if they have a break down as to where I may have gone wrong, but they told me they don’t have that, which is a bit strange. Has anyone else failed and not got a break down back?
I have to wait till October not to re-sit. Just more determined to pass now. I’m thinking about purchasing this revision guide

2395:Written Exam Practice Q&A

Has anyone bought or used it, can anyone tell me if it is worth it or send me in the right direction?
I’ve been reading gn3 regularly and have a few past papers but that’s about it really.

Sorry to hear that you did not pass.
City and Guilds do not give a break down of the exam, it is a pass/fail situation only.
It might be worth asking the college if they have some examples of the questions from the last exam so that you could then try the same thing again and see if you remember going wrong anywhere.
GN3 is the place to start and finish your learning as all the answers are in there.
It is also worth reading the Chief Examiners reports about the 2394 and 2395 exams under Additional Documents on the C&G website that highlight recurring and notable errors in answering the exams, this can help you avoid these mistakes.

Good luck next time.

I would advise you to keep your money in your pocket. There is all sorts of stuff doing ebay and other places about 2394/5/etc etc. You have the best publication to help you, and that is GN3, but i would advise you to buy the City and Guilds exam success book for the 2391, it is still relevant, and will help you no end. I teach these courses and advise all candidates to get hold of this book, it is full of very useful info and help. And as someone else has said, go onto the guilds website, and read the chief examiners reports.

Cheers..........Howard
