I'm new here and want to learn. I have a project I want to tackle but if it is above my means I will call an electrician. I have a main disconnect panel on the outside of my house. I want to add from it a sub panel to feed my pool and shed and also an outlet. I did some searching but still not sure what panel box to buy. I think I understand the sub panel will need a neutral and ground bar. Thank you all.

The sub panel you choose to buy has to be outside approved. Make sure it has enough space for your breakers to feed your branch circuits. All sub panels need to have a ground, neutral and 2 live wires and it has to be GFCI protected. Yes you will have to isolate the neutrals from the grounds. You probably need a 100 amp panel which should be plenty big enough for your building and pool equipment.
