Am2 done!

finished my AM2 exam today, hopefully all went well not sure where i could improve on if worst comes to it, but hey stay positive i am sure it went well and i will get the result i want.

they said bu friday i should hear but got a message that the results are available but have been sent to my college email and i cant access them, so i am guessing i should hear tomorrow from them, thats right i can relax its got to be the most stressfull 3 days of my training to date.

to be honest i didnt, fault finding went ok, found all faults in the time, i built my bay and it all tested ok and work more importantly and think i got a definate 25 out of 30 on the online exam so really no reason i should of failed?

the exam is a good test of competance but make sure you can test your work and do it well, and a basic logical approach to the fault finding is all you need

its not actually too bad, just follow your wiring diagrams and all will be fine dont let the pressure get to you

That is an excellent bit of advice Sparky_Ben, especially the "make sure you can test" bit.
My advice is go to the refresher day first, it may seem a wate of time but it can be very very useful especially if you don't do much testing on site

I also did the refresher and for the sake of 2 days it is invaluable in my opinion

i can remember doing mine didnt sleep a wink during those 3 days but mine was the old 1

I managed to sleep only just it was the most stress I have ever had still waiting for my result

Confidence is what its all about, i completed mine over 5 years ago now so was the old one which i understand was a bit harder to do

Anyhow like said above a logical approach and common sense dont go a miss

yeah i have a job at the moment, work on the commercial catering side doing school refurbs, care homes etc. why you ask?

I did mine in october turned up to work the next day all lads sed how did you do, i said i think i failed everything and the more i talked about it to them the more i realised i did what was needed and come sunday lunch i gt a text saying my results were available. And i read the email and thought **** i failed the online exam the only part i thought i did well on. Then re read it and i realised i passsed the lot! Happy days. My mate failed his testing for not disconnecting the main earth when doing ZE. BUT I hope you done well.
