Am absolutely gutted, my Fluke 1587 insulation tester appears it's had an unknown fatal incident.
I was doing some testing a few days ago and was fine. Yesterday I assumed the batteries were dead and replaced new ones. Then checked the fuse, dead. That did surprise me.
At a loss what happened or why.
I do get attached to my tools and wanted to have my Old Robin analogue serviced and repaired. In the past it was decent cost and then they wanted silly money, appearing uninterested. What changed??
Had an issue with my Fluke IR temp gun, they were uninterested also.felt sure they prefer us to only buy another one.
So I bought the 1Fluke 587 and I love this little kit, paid just over $500 for it. Does anyone have a recommendation for a trusted place that I could send this to and at least have someone that is trusted please.
I fear sending it to a Fluke repair centre and just calling it dead and suggesting to buy a new one. It just seems to be too common now.
There was a time when people did repair items.
Thanks in advance.
