Before I tell a landlord that their CU needs replacing due to a snapped screw recess (that's how I found it but I know I'm going to be blamed for this), does anyone have a lid for a 14 module Steeple CU (rebranded GE E series)?

I thought about Araldite but I can't convince myself that is acceptable.

pic is size of a postage stamp. can't you fix with maybe a washer and glue? as long as it's secure.
I thought I'd edited the post to link to the thread the image is a thumbnail on. Second attempt...

I can go down the washer & glue route, this was actually my first thought - I'd managed to convince myself that this wasn't acceptable.

find a reg that prohibits it then , as long as IP rating is compliant, the whole lid could be fixed on with tape,

As long as IP maintained and it can be opened for maintenance then I don't see any problem with a glued-on washer being used.

Glue on washers both for both fixings if you want it to look more intentional!

Thanks all, glue washer covid mask and supersize condoms it is then
Hi Andy,

Just checked the shed where I keep all my removed CU's. Is this the one you need? Just counted and it's a 14 module. Looks like it's not broken anywhere, bit dusty though, been there for years! No charge, let me know.

Certainly looks like the right unit. Presently waiting on some more pictures from the tenants as I may also need an MCB.

Quite happy to exchange some beer tokens for it and you'll get a bit of space back(!).

Pm me if you need it. No charge, but you could send a tenner to the WWF if you feel like it.
