Spent a pleasant day at the Toolfair/Elex show in Harrogate today, listened to some of the electrical related seminars, reminded me VERY much of the peoples popular front of Judea committee meetings in "Life of Brian"...don't think i heard two shared opinions on anything...busy elsewhere with lots of folk spending on gear, which is a good sign. Two high points of the day were spending kids holiday money on some pretty Hilti items, and sitting in crawling traffic for an hour so everyone ahead could rubber-neck the stranded Eddie Stobart truck central reservation M62 at split round farmhouse...

Snap!

Poor driver, he must have been in a right state after ending up down there...

The weather in the morning as we headed to elex from Chester was horrendous, we saw four different accidents. Hope everyone was ok

Bought a few tools to add to my armoury, not a bad day overall.

Yes,the odds of that truck ending up there upright must have been slim...with reference to the show,it was refreshing to at least see lads getting enthusiastic and spending on tackle, visited a few in the past where everyone staggered around with sad faces and bags of leaflets. The fella i spoke to on Meggers' stand, was very pleasant,no sales talk or angle, basically just exceedingly professional - old school even... I will take what i saw as maybe the seed of improvement

harrogate too far for me. going to manchester one think it's june or july. think glenn went to harrogate.

Yep,will probably do the Manchester one as it's 3 minutes from my house. Coming back was 3 hours out of my life with nothing learnt... there was a lad at the show,20+ stone, bald at the front pony-tail at the back with three green beads between his nostrils....could that have been Glenn?
