Armoured cable installation

I installed armored cable in to my house some time ago before my drive was laid. It is now time to supply my garage with this cable, however I have heard a rumour that I wasn't supposed to drill the installation hole underneath the damp proof course, despite the fact that both gas and electric enter the house below the damp proof. Hope it's ok as it's a bit late now. Wouldn't be that bothered but may be using this as an assessment piece. Any one out there know the regs on this topic?

So long as you haven't penetrated the DPM, then nothing to worry yourself about. Make sure you seal the penetration hole for the cable well though, both inside and out.
