Hi everyone. My name is Sean I am based in the North West. I did my apprenticeship about eighteen years ago time served and have a NVQ3 in Electrical Installation,Passed AM2 etc and have the original 2391 testing and inspection. Trained to 17th edition but just booked on yo do my 18th in Jan. had a change of career and have been a hgv driving instructor and hgv driver the last ten years. Still done some jobs over that period some full rewires for friends etc. Am thinking of maybe starting on my own and doing some jobs on my days off. Just wondered if there is a shortage of electricians at the moment as there seems to be a shortage of other trades. Do you think it’s worth getting back into? Any advice welcome. Thank you.

domestic work is extremely lucrative in the right areas , domestic badgers in my county regularly charge £400 a day for a decent tradesperson...
