buzzing when LED lamps dimming

hi all

a couple of weeks ago i installed some new LED down lights to a friends house (in his new extension) anyhow last week he said that theres a buzzing noise happening when he twiddles the dimmer , i assumed that i simply need to change the dimmer from conventional to a LED type.
so this morning i went round equipped with new dimmer expecting to simply change it , however it was the actual lights(lamps)that where buzzing and not the dimmer.
i changed the dimmer and still buzzing of the lamps continued (now i havent done much domestic work for a few years so thinking its a bit strange ) so i rang my wholesaler (was before 12) and was directed to a website that had instructions on changing changing the settings of the dimmer switch by pushing it 3 times etc
however after playing around for a while it was a little better but still buzzing ???
is this a common problem ? and if so any recommendations or ideas to fix it apart from trying a different brand of lamps or dimmer?

other notes : 14 x 5watt cool white GU10 lamps fitted

and i suppose i could issue my mate some earplugs it not

That would depend on what the dimmer manufacturer recommends .... What make of dimmer is it?

What make of LEDs are they?

If you wired this from scratch you really should have put then across 2 or more switches.

the dimmer is a v pro i think , and not sure on lamp make (was a few weeks ago )

A no cost test is to take 7 lamps out. If load was the problem the remoaners will be quiet

V Pro are a bit hit and miss... have you tried changing the mode?

I went to see a prospective client yesterday - she thought she wanted 11 or 12 all on 1 switch - until I pointed out that it would be all or nothing... so the plan is 6 + 5

yes , helped a bit, but still hummed , admittedly its was deafly quite in his house as family still asleep , so hoping when normality resumes that its not that noticeable

Have you checked that the LED's are compatible with the V Pro?

yes lamps are def dimmable , i agree about all or nothing , in this room we have 5 amp wall sockets for free standing lamps and led strip in troth around the window light and the 14 spots then lastly 2 x chandeliers in the 1 st area (the idea of mood lighting via areas rather than switching was the idea

Wholesalers want to see kit .......... you need to check this stuff out yourself or you could end up a creek without a paddle.
