When putting in some duct for fibre broadband we also put in a few lengths of 63/50mm twinwall duct "just in case" we needed that, as we knew of a few possible use. At the time the biggest load was expected to be of the order of 32A so 4C 6mm ample and no size issue.
However we are now pondering on a backup generator supply that could be around 90A so just OK for 16mm XPLE 4C SWA but ideally I would make it 25mm so it comfortably has the same 100A rating as the main supply.
Have I a hope in hell of getting that cable, probably around 28mm outer diameter, through the 50mm inner diameter of the duct?
The run is only about 10m long but ends up/down bends might be tighter than I would have planned if doing this from the outset.
