Discuss Can I install an EMI filter to an existing solar system without jeopardising my feed in tariff? in the Solar PV Forum | Solar Panels Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I think that filter component is offered to manufacturers of solar inverters as a solution to meeting their EMC requirements.
Your solar inverter will already have a filter arrangement inside, in order that it complies with the standards and gets product approval to be sold. Probably not one of those though.
I can't imagine adding a further filter, eg that one, to your inverter externally will do anything to improve efficiency, and it might actually reduce EMC performance. Optimising an inverters EMC performance, a task that is done by the inverters designers, is a technical job, and one hopes would have been done with considerable thought and many EMC measurements in a very expensive laboratory!
I don't think adding that filter will achieve anything useful.
