Hi, if I have finished my paperwork for NVQ level 3, if I leave my employer can I pay for my AM2s myself or do I need to be employed? (It’s not an option to stay at my current employer I have wrote a post about these previously but had no answers)

Ask your college contact , you will not be the first to ask that question.

I did on Friday just haven’t heard a reply yet so was wondering if anyone has any experience 🙏
I'm currently in this position. I have a date for my AM2 but will no longer be working. I'm hoping that I can still sit this, but wondered what would happend if I need to re-sit. Would be happy to pay for myself.

Whenever I did the am2 you had to be in employment until the finish date as your employer had to sign off on your apprenticeship along with the college, although that was 15 years ago, doing it yourself without an employer was not an option. Things may have changed though so best ask your college.
