On a job last week customer had a conservatory built electrics consisting of:-

- fused spur fed of RFC which feeds whole 4 bed house). Yes just the one.
- this spur run into conservatory to another fused spur.
- fused spur then run to 2 way box (out of the ark with 1361.
- then off this old two way unit to sockets on 32 amp 1361 and lights on plug fuse at 5 amp.

In total 3 fused spurs and a two way unit in the space on 2 feet.

Now has 4 way CU fed off seperate feed from main CU.

What was interesting was the certification produced made no mention of anything except "new lighting circuit and radial" and the test figures so made up beyond belief.

So in summary a spur off an old 2 way CU off a spur off a spur.

And they charged the client £800 for the work!

Without knowing the full history of that job you can't really say they got ripped off, sound slike they did tho. 1 ring for full house, nothing wrong with that. Obviously it's way off being proper job but at least it had some form of protection. Have a gander through some old threads on here you'll be amazed what some have found.
