Hi All,

I'm looking into a career change at the age of 28. I've got a computer science background in a fairly good job at the moment but can't stand being in a office all week! I've done some electrical work with a fully qualified guy and enjoyed it and had good feedback on my work. I've always had a interest, kinda kicking myself for not pursuing it when I left school.

I'm looking to do my 2365 Lvl 2 & 3, that seems to be the route to go. I'm trying to find a decent weekend course. I'm based in Essex but can travel, any suggestions would be great. I was looking at this one, but it seems short at around 100 hours in total (3 months). I was thinking more along the lines of 1 year for level 2 and one year for level 3. Is there anything else I should be doing? Any feedback would be great.

Evening classes don't look promising for me, I don't finish work until 6pm weekdays which is when all the ones I've seen start.

Any feedba

Phone your local colleges mate, when I was looking for a night course L2 I couldn't find one advertised anywhere. Turns out a college 9 miles from me did exactly what I wanted but they don't advertise the course for whatever reason.

Thanks for the advice guys, that's exactly the kinda thing I was looking for. I saw my local college do L3 but not L2, I'll give them a call though based on what you said hightower and see what they say. I'm feeling a bit more optimistic now! These kinda things don't come up on good old Google!
