Hi guys and gals,

My name is Chris. I'm 28 and I live just outside Birmingham.

Currently I work in a warehouse as an order picker along with a bit of FLT work. It's a well paying job but I find it boring doing the same thing every single shift, it's also a complete dead-end. Hence the reason for my career change.

I plan on keeping my job (night shifts) and enrolling at college which will be Monday 9-5 to complete my 2365 lv 2. While going through this course I would like to gain experience on weekends doing voluntary work with local firms. Repeat for level 3.

Also, during this time I will be applying for apprenticeships whenever possible. I'm hoping the fact I'm getting stuck in on my own time for free will help in this process as I know my age is against me.

So that's me. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi & welcome. :)
