Hi,

Just had a new cooker installed to existing cooker switch. Electrician used the existing cable as this was only 3 years old and in perfect condition.
Have noticed the orange neon on the switch takes a second to go out after switching off. Not sure if it was doing this before, but think it should go out immediatelyy.

Any thoughts.

Cheers

a bit of capacitance retaining a voltage in the cable. nothing to worry about.
