Meanwhile, Over On Santa's Sleigh...

44990.jpeg

not many know this. Santa had a reindeer called Henry... Henry the brown nosed reindeer. he was second in line behind Rudolph ( of the red nose), but Rudolph lliked sprouts and beans, so Henry got the benefit of Rudolph's wet farts, hence Henry the brown nosed reindeer.

Andrew wouldn’t be their uncle though, would he?
I find a lot of these online stories with pictures miss out plain facts for the chance to get a joke in. Like the picture I’ve seen of “Luigi on a squeegee” in a take on elf on the shelf.... funny, or it would be if it was actually Luigi. The pictures I’ve seen show a character in purple, who is most obviously Wario.

“LOCKDOWN II - The Return of Boris”

This past 12 months will be a blockbuster film sometime in the future....

We are back to lockdown restrictions, with schools closed....
Now, can the government think outside the box a little here? There is a vaccination program starting with the health professionals and the oldest in the country.... along with those with health conditions.
How about a two pronged attack and also start vaccinating from school age and teachers upwards...

That way, you keep kids IN school, with teachers educating in person. Parents don’t have to stay home and home school, they can go back to work and save furlough payments from govt, economy gets back to normal quicker.

when i was 13, my dad asked me what i wanted for xmas.

i said " something to wear and something to play with"

he bought me a pair of jeans and cut the pockets out.
Jim Davidson jokes ?

Reminds me of a story my mother said. Back in the 1950's she asked her dad if she could have a bike if she passed her eleven plus. He replied that if she didn't pass shed get a feckin hiding! She passed but got no bike!

Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke? Why do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters? Why do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk in the garage? EVER WONDER... Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin? Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed? Why don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'? Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavoring, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons? Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour? Why isn't there mouse-flavoured cat food? Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes? Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections? You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff? Why don't sheep shrink when it rains? Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together? If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

Sorry for the serious post, but thought you guys may be interested:

There is a 24 hour test called a pcr test, (polymerase chain reaction _ which means that is the molecular biology technique used to amplify up the number of copies of the viral RNA- if any present - on the swabs taken from your nasal mucosa and from behind your tonsils) It is a test which will make your eyes water and initiate your gag reflex if it is done properly. If there are any viral RNA copies i.e. virus present, then the pcr test should amplify them up and you would get a positive pcr test result or a negative one if no viral RNA in the original sample.
The lateral flow test is a rapid test which, as I understand it, relies on the presence or absence of an antibody to a portion of the virus i.e. you have or have not been exposed and your immune system is or is not producing antibodies which can recognise a viral epitope (a piece of the virus). However there are many different pieces of the virus, the ones which we are most concerned about are the ‘spike protein’s which the virus uses to bind to ACE receptors (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme) receptors which are present on many different cell types including those in the pulmonary epithelium and on the vascular endothelium, in order to gain entry to cells and infect them prior to viral reproduction, exocytosis and cell death.
The antigen/antibody reaction tests take between 15 minutes to two hours, whereas the pcr tests take 24 hours because the technologies are different.
The pcr tests (chain reaction = amplification) are much more sensitive but apparently more accurate, the antibody/ antigen tests are quicker but sadly apparently less reliable.

Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke?
I can answer that one. I'm diabetic so I can eat the burgers but can't drink normal coke due to the high sugar levels. I have to have diet coke as there's no sugar in it

Its the gym users, standing outside after their "heavy workout" with a can of diet coke in one hand and a smoke in the other that i dont understand.
me neither. diet coke??? should be a pint of ale .

I thought you were more a brandy and a cigar type person ?
mot keen on brandy. prefer JD, Jameson's , or Bushmills. last cigar i smoked was when son was born, 1985.
