It's a shame. As Pete says "Gone but not forgotten". He did some really great songs. Loved his early stuff.

The man was an influential genius.I can remember going into the local British legion club with my mate when we were about 16, we used to give the Juke box a good kick when it was quiet up in the pool room, and it always starting playing sound and vision. Loved him ever since, sad loss.

I went to see his 'Glass Spider' concert, in Manchester. Best concert I have been to.

I went to that one as well, Terence Trent Derby and Alison Moyet were supporting acts too. It was at Maine Road which was home to Man City, I still have my ticket stub and program somewhere!
EDIT:
Does anybody recognise my avatar and does anybody remember my previous one and what they are? For anyone that's remotely interested here is a picture of my previous avatar.

Alison Moyet was great too. Terence was rubbish. I remember him calling security cause something was happening up front.

I was into Gary Glitter when I was a young lad. (no funny comment....) My dad & a friend took me to see one of his concerts.

Yeah, he tried to get a guy chucked out because he was sat down talking to his mates on the ground and wouldn't get up when he came on to sing, he lost the respect from the crowd at that point, complete knob imo. This all happened a few yards away from where we were which was about 50 feet from the stage in a central position, he was also peed because it started to drizzle a bit when he came on lol.So you was at the first showing then like myself as that quickly sold out and another date was set for the day after.

Spoon, seen as you're a Bowie fan do you recognise my avatars then?

Haha. Thanks for reminding us. I forgot the reason why he called the security but I do remember the crowd was not happy with him after that.

Sorry mate, I don't recognise your avatars.

PLEASE tell us,that the "friend" wasn't one of those "uncles" that no-one is related to,and insists on the two of you keeping a secret,on account of you getting into trouble if you share it....
