Hi, i am from punjab, india.
We have 4.8 kilowatt solar system (16 panels of 300 watt each), it powers the underground water pump on our farm. Pump is DC submersible motor. Hence there is no inverter, only controller (which is not like regular solar controller, it is for pump only, shows overall data regarding solar panels, production and pump information). Also this a enclosed setup provided by the company for sole purpose of water pump. It works well, during peak sun water is pumped at faster rate and in evenings and mornings it pumps at lesser rate, as it should.
Well that was the background. Now the situation is that i was planning is to salvage some electricity out of this setup. I need to run small AC appliances and i cannot afford big inverter(also there is no requirement for that). So my plan is, to let 14 panels directly attached to the controller --- water pump(as they already were) and attach 2 remaining panels to small solar inverter(850 watts) (i will use controller+reg inverter or solar inverter). According to this, pump will continue to function, obviously at lower rate and i will have my AC supply from 2 plates.
My main question is, am looking for a way so that i can attach those 2 plates back to the pump-controller when needed and back to my inverter when not needed.
my plan is to, use some kind if switch to remove and attach plates to the original circuit(to the pump controller) and attach and remove pthe solar inverter(my new ac supply).
Is this right or am being stupid, if right then can you please suggest me how should i make it happen(what type of switch and how).
i have attached a screenshot with my plan, and also please verify that where am planning to use this switch in the circuit, is that location right.
thats all!
