Does anyone know the answer to this?

FIT is link to inflation (RPI). But what would happen if we were to enter a period of deflation? would the FIT reduce or would be be capped at its current level at the time?

The rates would go down.

which shall be published each FIT Year by the Authority, and which shall comprise the figures in the FIT Payment Rate
Table at Annex 2 adjusted by the percentage increase or decrease in the Retail Price Index over the 12 month period ending on 31st December of the previous year.
