Thanks for the feedback do you know what the trade name of them is?As above. It's a device that fuses at a specific temperature to prevent overheating. Usually trips if the airflow is inhibited in some way, such as fabric over the vents, but occasionally they fail through fatigue.
They are a cheap component, but the two problems that you will have with a generic one is identifying its fusing temperature (which would originally be written on it), and mounting it exactly as the original was.
