I am installing a commercial food premises at the moment, the shop fitters have asked me to bond all steel work, can someone confirm which of these need bonding please:
  • Suspended Ceiling Grid - 2.4m High
  • Commercial Oven - Connected through 4mm SWA to commando and 6mm flex to oven
  • Fixed Steel Fridge Counter - Connected via 13A Plug - 2.5mm Earth
  • Fixed Steel Counter - Bolted to the above fridge
  • 2 commercial fridges - connected via 13A Plug
  • Serving Counter - Wired directly into the DB with 4mm T&E (Earth 2.5mm)
  • Preparation Table - No Bonding - No direct connection to mains
  • Commercial Sinks - >1m away from any electrical outlet and plumbed in Copper - Bonded with 10mm Earth

I am with Guitarist and the others, with my serious head on, you should know the answer to Op, get your books out fella nd research it, or as above ask the kitchen fitters.

Something is sadly very wrong if an electrician needs to. or takes advice from shop fitters!! Have you been advising them how to erect the grid ceilings etc then?? .....
 
OP why is it that as soon as a commercial kitchen crops up peoples brains go in to freewheel?

Tony in your vast Library, have you got any literature on the practise of bonding window frames just to help the lad out in case he as to price for that as well.
 
I've got the 16th OSG sat at the side of me now.

Just going for a bath then I'll have a look. (Wonder if the bath is bonded? I'd better check before I get in it.)

If not don't worry just get a plastic bucket full of sand next to bath and throw a rod in it
