I've come to a decision, I just cant do work anymore that involves mad stuff, for example today - 2 bed flat that's had fire damage, someone has been in, taken every socket and switch off (think it was mostly trunking), blue tape on every cable end, all still live and then got the place totally replastered. There are random cables hanging out of the ceiling everywhere, nothing in the right place, loft full of soot covered insulation and other trades working in there fitting doors, bathroom, kitchen etc. All the wires are re/black singles in the lights with solid green earth sleeving, the place needs a re-wire.
I was expected to go in today and sort all the electrics out. As soon as I see stuff like this my heart just sinks, I become totally uninterested in the job and just need to get out of there, so I left it. The place has been empty for about 4 months, just one day it would have took us to go in and 1st fix everything so they could plaster. the only thing I can think when I see stuff it how insane it is, not just a bit silly but absolutely bat ---- mental crazy, I just cant cope with the idiocity anymore.
