Door Entry System Handset?

I have a job at a flat that needs a new handset for the intercom system, it has door release, The old handset was damaged and taken off the wall so it needs a new replacement.

is the wiring on these handsets kind of universal? do i have to get a specific model handset to match the front panel outside or can i get any handset with door release.

There is 2 x 3pr cable coming out the wall where old handset was in the flat

You can get universal handsets that give you a list of all connections. I bought one made by FERMAX called City Max Universal.

Yes you can universal ones but they dont work with all systems and make sure you got a mate with you, its a bugger on your own doing door entry

This is the handset i need to get replaced, http://specs.alphacommunications.com/APS001.PDF But i cant find one anywhere in the UK, so was looking for a universal one that would hopefully work.
