Hey guys,

What are peoples thought on a single socket for a free standing electric radiator in a downstairs cloakroom. It is a normal size downstair cloakroom with a toilet and small hand basin and nothing else in it.
Would I be right in thinking the regulation would not oppose a socket in this room because there in no bath or shower basin?

correct. if there's no bath, what do you measure the 3m from? just common sense would site the socket away from possible water ingress.

and the bog. after a few beers, no telling if i can hit the pan.

Depends on what colour the toilet is ;) ..... Just use your regs for distances from wash basin etc and ensure its not likely to get splash over from the sink or a poor shot from a user of the toilet and should be fine. ..................... well was beaten to the bog splash advice lol

you will get answers, however can I ask why it cannot be a spur and cut the plug top off?

The customer does not want the heater in there all the time, just for the colder months, trust me I tried get her to do it and go for a wall mounter rad too.
