Eicr flats communal areas

Hi guys,
Got a test of communal areas of 9 blocks of flats coming up and just preparing the paperwork. What would you class as the description of premises ? I'm leaning towards commercial rather than domestic

I would class this as domestic as the installation is intended for a domestic use, i.e. it is supplying dwellings.
All the electrical installation circuits will be very similar (if doubled up a bit) to the requirements for a domestic house, only the distribution part would be slightly commercial.

I see what your saying, looks like I'll be quoting for full RCD protection and metal clad boards then !

The ! was an indicator of a joke however I will be recommending RCD'ing the sockets as I'm seeing a lot of extension leads and pressure washers stored in the hallways

Rcd socket is an option..
and metal boards are only needed 1st jan in domestic yes- but would only warrent a c3

Don't think my client will go for 27no single RCD sockets as there are 9 blocks with 3 sockets in each. Will price for an RCD with enclosure and divert circuit

Yes mate long hallway to gf one by front door one by back door and one in the middle. Could change 1 and blank off others I suppose
