Money grabbing leaches destroying the trade
Why do you ask?
My view is go with the bigger body, the NICEIC, ok all one of the same, but they are more widely heard of and people recognise the brand, I know they are all a much of a muchness, but in my opinion your money is best spent with the NIC.
I'm wondering which governed body to sign up with and was lead to belive Elecsa was a good choice?
I hear the assessment with NICEIC is alot more vigorous and difficult to pass as oppose to Elecsa... Guess I'm just kind of weary of that as I will be quite fresh
You get the same field engineers / assessor regardless if you are with NIC or Elecsa, I would imagine you get the same sort of questions and same assessment.

And I know at least one of the ELECSA/NICEIC assessors also does it for the ECA.

I am sure the bloke I know does it for more than just certsure.
Join NICEIC if you want to abide by their electrical regulations and be compelled to buy their publications.
If not join the ECA and abide by the IEE regulations the sensible choice IMHO.
