Hi all,

I am looing for a cheaper alternative to Amtech for design software and a cheaper option for doing as fit drawings and alterations in domestic, commercial installations.

Any options cheers!

If you are buying it yourself, then I'd be looking at one of the free CAD programs. You may need to install Linux, but that isnt an issue.
There is an argument that some are better than Autocad, as any bugs are quickly sorted due to the collaborative design of the software.
Freecad is the best known, and available for all platforms. There are some others that could be better, depending on its use / how easy you find it to use.
All have a steep learning curve, so expect to spend many hours learning simple tasks.
