hi,

I've seen it but can't remember where - the list of which modules you can use enecsys for.

Just installed my first one with Sanyo's but now I look for a mid-range module i can't find what's compatible?

Regards

R

whats the proposition with the duos? are they much cheaper or something else?

Reduced fitting time would be odd as they don't take many minutes on thier own but guess Enecsys will lead with some proposition

It appears that the duo inverters won't be released until the end of the year. They seem like something of an improvement to me. A quad inverter would be even better. You know, an inverter that could run sixteen 245w panels would be just great.

Seriously though, I'm not impressed by these inverters. Their efficiency isn't great and they certainly don't look any easier to install than string inverters. Heavily shaded situations only in my opinion.

Discussion with enecsys the other day, duos are available now, and I've got the G83 cert for it, and been quoted for it.

I am still quizzing them whether it actually has two mpp trackers in it or it's a parrellel input, as the cable is a y cable. So unless it's twin core then they must be just parrallel, I've challenged 3 of the people at enecsys over this seeming incompatibility on their statements, and I am still waiting for a satisfactory answer. :(

The site we're using them on 3 roof planes 2 east at different angles 1 south with horrible dormer shading no other sensible choice.

Available now? That's interesting. I spoke to them yesterday and they said they'd be available at the end of the year. Which supplier are you using or are you buying them direct? Do you have compatability information for it?

Worcester - sounds like one MPP for two panels... and as someone joked yesterday the next product would cover four, then sixteen panels and perhaps be so large it's actually stored inside the loft space.

Do you know a price? No actual prices required on this forum but if a traditional SMI 240 is £X, is this £1.5X or similar?

360/200 = 1.8 (or 2 really!) Pricing is 1.46 PLUS you'll save a nominal amount on distribution units, ac bus extension cables and installation time :)

Supply issues for these inverters now. Apparently they found a problem when testing and wont post ANY out until mid-end of August.

This has really stuffed our business up as we have 5+ jobs booked in with Enecsys and cant get the inverters!

I say walk away, I can't believe that a company that makes inverters can be so incapable of answering technical questions. If the product is one bit as shabby as their "tell you whatever you want to hear" technical support then there is no hope for 25 years of trouble free operation.

Re-visit all of your enecsys sales and explain that you'll do the job with proper sting inverters of give then back their deposit and tell them to wait for the technology to stabilise. I wouldn't risk my reputation on them!
