just as long as they keep him thereDoes the PM need to go to Scotland today?
Some people think that the PM coming to their area to listen to their opinions is a valid reason.Government officials and any other persons that are in the public eye (celebs etc...) should set an example.
I agree, though my point is that if they are keen to encourage people to follow the guidelines then they should be showing that they are "strictly" following them themselves. There are many people in the public eye, in my opinion, "bending" the rules especially celebs. Some people think that the PM coming to their area to listen to their opinions is a valid reason.
I think the Queen, David Attenborough etc getting their vaccinations is setting a good example.... better than the 10% of care workers (or whoever) in Scotland reported this morning refusing to have the jab.
The companies or hospitals these people work for have a duty of care to patients and should only have vaccinated staff on the front line
Quite right there, Dr Tel.... that’s why I’m an electrician and not a vaccine specialistThe companies or hospitals these people work for have a duty of care to patients and should only have vaccinated staff on the front line
Problem here is that a vaccinated person may well become immune to covid, but can still be a carrier and pass it on. ( that's Dr. Tel's considered opinion, having as much trust in doctors as Churchill had in Hitler ).
Problem there Pete is if the Jocks do leave the UK then they will not be able to moan anymore about the English, and lets face it the Jocks like Moaning and whinging, they have moaned and whinged about the clans fighting each other for 800 Years and blamed us for it, can they now blame the Italians maybe if they get EU access ? A Jock without beer in one hand and a miserable attitude to the English must be a very unusual person, they need to stay in the UK to keep their identity, I cannot imagine a jock without the English to blame for everything, Independence will change them. Popcorn ready LOLI wish Scotland had voted leave, then we wouldnt need to listen to any more **** from those fishy politicians.
im sick of those leavers complaining about the referendum result. ( obviously I’m on about the Scottish independence, not the brexit)
That is going to be difficult Bud because there are 8 million Scots living in England and only 5 Million in Scotland, I bet the vast majority of Scots voted to Leave but we will never know because they don't live in the homeland anymore lolOn another point. If Scotland had voted leave, then the brexit result would have been much more than just 2% difference. Maybe as much as 10 %. TBH if the leave had won by 40 % there would still be moaners.
I think I’ll do a bit of research and see the total Scots that voted leave and remain in the EU vote and see how it alters things.
just as long as they keep him there
I wonder where the other 6 dwafs have gone. Maybe still down the mines. He’s got to keep his eye on Little Jimmy Cranky. She/he is planning all sorts of mischief.
My Thread mate, I am happy for it to go off track, it is only a thread on the internet, life is too short to get wound up over it ?Starts off as a 'should Boris travel to Scotland during covid' thread and ends up with yet another Europe/ Independence debate. There are plenty other of these threads on this forum. We are out of Europe, debate finished and the Scots voted to stay in the union although that may change. Any chance we could stick to the point and not take the chance to hijack every thread?
He can't win tough can he?A work Trip.
However is it really Essential? if he had to go because there was a risk to the UK for example then fair enough, but is visiting a factory bumping fists really Essential? Nicola Sturgeon doesn't think so, he should stay in London IMO
Did the 8 million Scots in England get a vote for the scottish referendumThat is going to be difficult Bud because there are 8 million Scots living in England and only 5 Million in Scotland, I bet the vast majority of Scots voted to Leave but we will never know because they don't live in the homeland anymore lol
Also... as it's a question of the breakup of the union... we should all get a vote on it... not just those that happen to live in Scotland or claim to be Scottish but live elsewhere...That is going to be difficult Bud because there are 8 million Scots living in England and only 5 Million in Scotland, I bet the vast majority of Scots voted to Leave but we will never know because they don't live in the homeland anymore lol
No one is perfectAlso... as it's a question of the breakup of the union... we should all get a vote on it... not just those that happen to live in Scotland or claim to be Scottish but live elsewhere...
I'm Welsh but live in England and would have voted for Scotland to leave... IF they were funding the re-building of Hadrians Wall and paying the costs of guarding it.... and they take their fair share of the national debt with them. Wee Jimmy Crankie would never agree to these things anyway...
Nobody else is laughing...No one is perfect
give them chance they are still at work ?Nobody else is laughing...
They shouldn't be, its not essential. ?give them chance they are still at work ?
it is if you want to eat. They shouldn't be, its not essential. ?
That is SurprisingI did the sums.
Whole of UK brexit result with the Scotland vote included 2.8% difference
Whole of UK with scotlands votes removed 6% difference.
TBH pretty underwhelming result. I thought more Scots wanted to remain than that.
Your usually always in the pub, I bet with the lockdown your climbing the walls at home Telit is if you want to eat.
It reminds me of a job I was at before Xmas... the customer is a member of the SNP and there was a Christmas card from the Party featuring Ms Sturgeon on skates on an ice rink.
I’m sure she had the skates on the wrong feet.
At least you treat them with respect .( that's Dr. Tel's considered opinion, having as much trust in doctors as Churchill had in Hitler ).
Not sure about this mate. Should every EU citizen have been allowed to vote in the brexit referendum?Also... as it's a question of the breakup of the union... we should all get a vote on it... not just those that happen to live in Scotland or claim to be Scottish but live elsewhere...
