Hi,

08:30 this morning, plugs not working, ive been decorating and pulled plugs forward...

Yeah ok, be there shortly...

Every socket in the house was pulled forward, all on radials, only one leg in every socket, so probably mounds of junction boxes under floors.

I said hmm, probably just loosened a connection...

Lets see your fuse box then... this is what he showed me... (see below)

I said, "OH JESUS", whats going on here... theres wires hanging out everywhere, he said yeah, I have been having a look to see if I can fix it myself, I said wheres the cover? Oh it broke, I said, this is very dangerous, it was live and switched on, live rail at the bottom. He said his mate whos a trainee tried to have a look last night and he couldn't fix it.

I sorted the issue, and left the lot tied off at the isolator, he then cut it....

You cant help some people. The problem, not sure where it was, but there was a leg coming of one socket that everything was shorted out on, couldn't find it, but disconnected the leg and seemed to resolve the problem.
