Hi I know works rough out there but I'm offering free labour in the Sheffield area. I'm currently at Sheffield college attending night school doing electrical installation 2330 level 3. I'm looking for experience on site. Just to help out and look over the shoulder but not get in the way. I could work after 5 week nights and most weekends. If anyone knows of anyone wanting free help just get back to me. Thanks all

Hello Russ, I'm in Leeds but I am able to help you out with on site experience etc. Sent you a pm with my number. Its ok if its only Saturdays for you as long as you can get your arse to Leeds.

Number sent again and it was nice talking to you.

Russ clear out your pm in box, its full. Just tried to send you all the info you need for a week on Sunday. Yes we know its the 23rd of December but this place is a 3 phase board change with old and new circuits for a MOT garage and needs to be done when closed. Just remind me to lock out the 5 x car ramps before we switch off lol. Dont want to be wrecking any ones car just before xmas.

I'll provide the tea, coffee and biscuits Russ. See you there and dress up warm as its bloody freezing in that garage.

Nice gesture Paul

all i hear about these days, is how much this country needs foreigners to do the work that the ****less, bone idle brits can't be arsed to do. well done russ, for showing a bit of gumption. just hope it's not 3' deep with snow when you have to take the short journey up the m1.

edit: is f.e.c.k.l.e.s.s. a swear word?

Forget the britz wont work thing, aint worth alot of their time for £200, cant aford much with that, mimimum wedge should be £300 minimum, 100,rent 200 for bills and food and a little social life

Your right. Tried the local companies and no luck so try try again. I'd thought I'd try my luck on here. And it's paid off.
and get paid n all.....
no nead to ---- yourself....
lets put it this way....if i thought you had the aptitude....and was in a position to employ you.....i`d give you a wage.....and see if this trade was what you truly believed....

Russ, make sure your tea brewing is up to speed for Sunday! :)

We will take it in turns, Russ is trying to get electrical install and testing experience and not tea brewing skills. He will be doing as much as me, we have loads of time for the task so no pressure on him so take your time and do it right. This job is perfect for the experience that anyone on their level 3 needs, wish I had something like this when I did mine.

Thanks Archy, thats why I'm doing it a week on Sunday and not this Sunday as I'm going out for a lads p-up Friday night and a family meal plus a comedy club on the Saturday night. I will not be in the right state to do anything on this Sunday lol.

Russ all that's needed is the right attitude a willingness to learn and an interest and it sounds as if you have all 3. No falling for the will you go get me a long stand or sky hooks or any of the other items.
Good luck and hope you get the tester you want to see if it is this great trade you want to join just be patient and do a proper apprenticeship pay may take longer to get up to par but its a far better way of learning.
Welcome aboard.
