Discuss Fuse discrimination code? in the Periodic Inspection Reporting & Certification area at ElectriciansForums.net

While testing an industrial building today (machine shop) I came across a discrimination problem and cant decide on the code.

There is a switch fuse with a BS88 gG 315A fuse that supplies a busbar trunking run in the machine shop that the machines plug into.

There are various units plugged into the busbar trunking ranging from 40A fused isolators to the biggest.. also a BS88 gG 315A switch fuse supplying a machine.

Obviously there is no discrimination there so requires changing, but can it warrant a C2 as its not potentially dangerous? More inconvenient if it trips the main switch fuse under fault conditions.

I would appreciate your thoughts...
