I have recently took over contract for electric work for an agency after even the nonelectrical person noticed the low standardds being passed. While we are doing majour remedial work on freshly renovated building one of the tenants smashed one of the Fykes twinflex first generation detectors, in desperate attempt to silence it around 1am.
As we are currently dealing with much more serious issues ( such as three phase Distribution boards with open holes on top facing leaking roof and beams funneling things in), all coming with stroma instalation certificate.
I would like to temporarily replace sensor. As I planing to use more suitable twinflex two panel (more zones) I would prefer to fit Second generation sensors and latter replace the panel. Can first generation panel be used with Twinflex 2 panel? Any ideas?

TL;DR
Can you use Twinflex 2 detectors on twinflex (original) panel?
