Quite excited really, got me first Megger today.
I went for the MFT1553.
I'm still only in my first year of training but I want to use it a lot so that it become second nature to me.

Also the college only has one between a class of 20 and when doing the test I just feel that it would be better to use my own that eventually I will require.

Can anyone confirm that I have got a good bit of kit.

I'm gonna be asking lot of question about it soon - hope you all don't mind.

Thanks

Hi Sky,

I would say you've got a good bit of kit.

I've had no problems with mine - used it on my practical assessments and the 2391 - I love it to bits:p

I've got the 1552, by the way - same as yours but without the bluetooth:)

Also using 1553 megger. But never bothered withbluetooth as yet.
Went for it due to software that came too.
There as many people using fluke as megger out there and each will say the other is made of chocolate !!
just look after it, remember it's a scientific grade measuring device and not to be used as a door stop..!
and you shouldn't have any problems.

Also, call at your local police station and ask if they are providing smart water so you can mark it up. !

Have a look [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PniIhehMNf8&feature=related"]HERE[/ame] there is a part 2 as well that deals with the blue tooth bit

Good move its a nice solid piece of kit and we have all suffered from lack of tools while training so again good move to get your own just DONT LEND IT TO ANYONE and it will last a long time.
