Hi guys, just wondering what seems to be the general feeling with lamp types for GU10's etc now we have so much choice. Obviously most manufacturers are still supplying 50w halogens with their fittings and then were having to buy low energy or LED's if required. Ive tried some 5w led's out in my parents kitchen which i picked up for £8 each, they are very happy with them but i find a lot of older people seem to prefer the light from halogens despite being a lot more expensive to run

fit a proper LED downlight.

i dont bother retro-fitting gu10 LED's anymore now the price of complete LED fittings has reduced...

and you get a 7 year warranty with the proper fittings, unlike the LED gu10 lamps.

you can get LED warm white which look the same as halogens.

search for Halers or aurora ...

Cheers shocking-eg, didnt realise they made them, i'll keep an eye out next time I have a job for them. Cant help feeling that low energy lamps will become unwanted now led's are taking off, i bet there are millions sitting on shelves across the country collecting dust

I'm certainly hating my low energy downlights now, probably installed them a few days before LEDs appeared everywhere. Anyway, I've started installing the ones from LEDhut because the price and service is top notch

As for complete fittings, JCC, fantastic finish and 10 year warranty
