I saw GE Halogen lamps in use on a social housing block being refurbed - whilst they are still allowed to be sold, i don't think you can say it complies with Building Regulations as they are C rated and so hardly energy saving - 1200 lumen for 70 W is pretty poor.( <18 l/w energy efficient is above 45 l/w )
Is this widespread and Building Control are turning a blind eye ?
 
Building control not doing their job right? No don't believe it.....

Although given the price of the low energy pendants and lamps I can see why the local council would opt for the 'at'll do' low energy set up

Although we normally get the round robus/ cheaper brand 18/22w fittings for wetrooms
