hi everyone,
Recently joined as I’m sure I will be on here asking for a few pointers in the future.
Bit about me....I’m 20yrs in the RAF as an Electrical Technician...not an aircraft techie.
I’ve mainly dealt with 415v generators and designed/installed/tested Temporary Electrical Installations.
As well as vehicle electrics and anything else that wasn’t a fighter jet.
I’m about to leave and will be starting up as an electrician.
I’d say I’m an experienced and knowledgeable electrical person....where my weakness lies is in my complete lack of real world civilian type tricks of the trade and lack of experience of overcoming those pesky little issue you encounter during an install etc.....
So I except most of my questions on here will be more about how to get around certain little issues with install rather that, electrical testing/meaning of results etc.......
Look forward to contributing on here.
I’ve been lurking a little while, and am impressed with the helpful responses people get.
