Good morning,

Is there anybody out there that might be able to help me aquire some photo's for my website which is currently being developed?

I wouldn't normally go down the plagiarism route but i've been given a deadline and don't have enough time to take any myself. I have photo's of our Solar PV installs but none of any generic electrical installation work.

I would be very grateful if someone could help or point me in the right direction please.

Kind regards,

Ian

Im assuming you have done some "generic electrical work " ?
if so why not take your own picturs of work YOU have done ?
WHY would you want to put someone elses work up as your own Are you going to get testimonials from other web sites as well??
Im thinking Dom Little wood may become your "friend" sooner rather than later

I agree, if you're intending to post photo's of other peoples electrical work on your website and not give appropriate credit then people will take a dim view of this if or when it comes to light.

Incidentally photos in all file formats contain metadata that's embedded in the image. It's surprisingly easy to take a picture from the web and find out when it was taken, when it was last modified, what camera was used and even the camera settings etc. On many occasions this metadata has been use to track down paedophiles and other criminals and it can also be used to identify plagiarism as well.

Me and Dom go way back....... ;o)
It is only because I have been given until the end of the week to get some pictures in to the web site developer but I have not really taken any pictures recently apart from solar pv installs. We had some on our old laptop which was stolen when our office got broken into in December. It's just not having time to visit old jobs and get them sent by friday.
It was only a thought, I've been doing electrical installation work for years but always employed. the business is only 3 months old so I thought i'd give the web site thing a go.

Looks like I'm back to the drawing board then......
I suppose I can give him photo's of the electrical installation on the AC side of the PV installations we've completed amd I'll have to do some ringing around to ask if I can do some revisits just to take pictures..... just means it's going to cost me a little more money that's all.
Thanks anyway.
Ian

If you're after generic shots to simply "brighten up" the site, try a stock photo library. Plenty of them on the net... Photos from a few pence each.
