My name is Onur. I join for english practice and professional deveploment from Turkey. So I am electrical engineer.
I am working high voltage departmant.
Have I a question for you?
What is used low voltage in UK? 220 Ac? 110AC? Which?
Thank you
Good luck

Hello Onar welcome to the forum.
The nominal voltages in this country are;
Extra low, 0 to 50V a.c. or 0 to 120V d.c
Low, 50 to 1000V a.c. or 120 to 1500V d.c
High will normally exceed the above Low Voltage.

Normal domestic supplies are 230V a.c.

the main supplies to premises are 415V 3 phase, 240V single phase. these are normalised to stupid european values of 400V and 230V respectively.

Is the UK mains voltage actually 230vac ?
Or is it like Australia where it is technically 230vac
But in reality it is 240vac.
The only thing that changed was beurocratic paper work !
Because 240v is still within the allowed +5% to -10% range.
Just curious ?

Hello Onur. Welcome. Also, my Scalextric set runs on 12v dc.
I have a complaint about Turkey. I bought a pair of Oakley sunglasses while on holiday there. When I got back home my wife noticed that they were made by Oakey. Not only did I have my pants pulled down but sub standard sunglasses.

went to Marmaris for a holiday, and if i ever go back, i'm going to get hold of the tw4t that sold me counterfeit amber leaf as genuine ( it was floor sweepings) and shove the 5 packets where the turkish sun don't shine.
