So as this is a lollipop circuit, out of interest i imagine the ring part of the circuit still needs the standard tests applied as you normally would carry out?

A 40amp ocpd is surely not suitable?
Well the OCPD needs to be able to protect the cable, it may or maynot be okay, a 20 or 32 would be the choice of many I am sure, what we need from the OP is the following 3 ansers to the 3 questions below

(1) how did you measure the ZE
(2) are you 100% sure the ZS was at the furthest point on the circuit
(3) Have you inspected the JB to see if all conductors are tight.

I've got a few years experience under my belt, but, I've never heard of a lollipop circuit before. Are these common to you?
 
1. Probably did not null his leads to have an R1 + R2 that high bearing in mind Zs, or more likely, just can't test and god knows what he is referring to.
2. More interesting is the 40A RCBO on his 2.5mm RFC

There are lots about..."kitchen fitters" love to adapt an old VIR cooker/water heater feeds,for their little ring + off-shoots...time to select "sanity",on the MFT...:blush5:
