Damn....i thought i had discovered a revolutionary bit of essential kit...i guess thats like bringing a tyre to an F1 pit tho isnt it and say "hey lads check this out"
 
Been using these heatshrink crimp butt connectors for many years now on the projects i've worked on. They are also no-where near as thick as the normal insulated butt crimps after heat shrinking. These heatshrink crimps are also available in almost every crimp type of crimp connectors..

But be careful, some are much better quality than others, ...but the ones you posted the link too, seem to be of the good quality variety...lol!!
 
Would you guys use these as an acceptable way of joining cables and plastering over them, maintenance free, say moving a socket for example?
