How many grounds can a house have

Welcome to the forum.

A bit more info needed. Generally one earthing point (MET, consumer unit earth bar, etc) and everything connects to this.

To maintain equipotential bonding it is important not to have separate earthing points.

Why has the question arisen?

As above, you might have multiple rods but all should be connected to the same system.

Please confirm your location - I assume it's Edmonton, Alberta, Canada rather than Edmonton, London, England.
