Hi
I have a DJ mixer I need a replacement power supply for, I've managed to get an adaptor with the correct rating (15V 500mA), the only problem is, like most, it has positive tip polarity and I need negative tip polarity for the mixer...
What is the best way to convert it please? I have thought about just cutting the wires and reversing them with a cable block connector but wondering if there's a neater way? If I cut the existing tip off and re-wire a new tip in I am not going to be certain which is the negative wire, though one of the wires on the cable to the tip does have a broken white line printed on it so maybe that is the -ve?
Alternatively maybe there is a polarity adaptor I can buy? I looked on the Maplin website but couldn't see anything suitable...
Any help most appreciated, I am an unqualified amateur so could do with some advice, thanks
