Simple survey on whether you are going to vote in the upcoming general election.
Discuss I have no interest in politics but..... in the Electricians Chat - Off Topic Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net
might all depend on which way the poles vote. eu or brexit? where's swd WHEN YOUWANTHIM?So in a snap poll of many people across all walks of life in vary locations in the U.K, the overwhelming result by 4 to 1 is that,, 80% are going to vote.
Translating that into votes at the poles means there will be an outcome to the Election.
not surprised.someof them still remember Sept. 1st., 1939.I have some polish neighbours, lovely people, who now have British passports and they voted leave......
Complaining about politics is a centuries old pointless waste of time.If you don’t vote, then you can’t complain later.
The Western Betrayal ?not surprised.someof them still remember Sept. 1st., 1939.
Therein lies the problem....I doubt many people believe boris but the alternative is Corbyn and Abbott....I suspect the Brexit log jam won’t be solved but I have absolutely no understanding why anyone would be voting for the lying, deceiving self-interested shysters who call themselves the Tory party. They don’t care about the working man and are just playing us all for fools. PS I’m no Labour supporter ... which is the normal assumption.
This is my issue are people voting for the best of the bad if that makes sense. Why bother if no one inspires confidence.Therein lies the problem....I doubt many people believe boris but the alternative is Corbyn and Abbott....
corbyn and abbot mean boris doesn’t have to try to hard.....and irony is if the tables were reversed it would still be the same! This is my issue are people voting for the best of the bad if that makes sense. Why bother if no one inspires confidence.
Much like us with conservatives and labour down here mate....personally I’d hate to see the SNP succeed in independence ?Where I live a vote for anything other than Lib Dem or SNP is a wasted vote.
LibDem want to ignore the Referendum. I didn't agree with the outcome but strongly believe we should follow the result. So that's a no from me.
SNP I would have more time for if they weren't banging on about another referendum just because they didn't like the result of the last one. I also strongly dislike their practice of blaming all the worlds ills on the evils of Westminster. Another no from me.
Labour and Conservatives have more chance of working together for the benefit of the country than winning the seat where I live.

I have a problem understanding the stance of the SNP in wanting to stay in the EU while at the same time demanding independence from a very close and friendly UK. In leaving the UK you would probably make trading across the boarder complicated? with a country that speaks the same language, has very very similar culture (after all we have been living and working together for centuries) you have a devolved government that would probably be able to get more control of the policy's that matter more to Scotland by remaining in the UK than you would ever get from the EU. The EU has stated very clearly that national sovereignty is not wanted and should be given up by the member countries of the EU to form a superstate to take on the rest of the world, so why give up a centuries old alliance where you have a good chance to get your point of view listened to, for a closed shop, protectionist, none democratic institution that is dedicated to removing national identities & the sovereignty's of member nations, perhaps I am missing something or just to dumb to understand.People seem surprised the SNP talk about independence- it is controversial but bears also poop in the woods
The fct is that the Scottish electorate were told that the only way to keep Scotland in the EU was to vote NO to independence

Unless you take George Carlin's view on it which is, of course you can complain because you didn't vote for any of it.If you don’t vote, then you can’t complain later.
Disgraceful no one should be subjected to that.....doubt we’ll see that on the BBC...View: https://twitter.com/HasAhmed_/status/1198624089738563585
So is Britain no longer a white country?
Don't know whats being said here, but almost like we'll keep voting till we get what we want? The once in a generation quote in more detail, its amazing that only the first part is quoted

So if there’s another referendum, and the result is for independence but before it can be instigated, there’s a new manifesto which goes to another referendum which results in a vote to stay.
Where do you stop? Surly this matter has been voted on, and should be left for some time for people to reflect.
We vote every few years for our govt based on the evidence produced for or against their viability. ?Sounds like some of the arguments post Brexit referendum. I voted to remain, but accept the result to leave. See how we get on. We might or might not be trying to get back in, some time in the future. But don’t see you can be voting about the same thing every year or so.
Agreed but the system is set up for a change in government every few years, it's a relatively seamless transition. We vote every few years for our govt based on the evidence produced for or against their viability. ?

Until they grow a brain and start counting non-voters and spoilt ballots as a metric against vote spread there is little point.
Use the above, set a threshold and if reached, pull the trigger on the existing setup; complete reshuffle of parties, leaders and political landscape until the amount of non/spoilt ballot voters increases.
When the option is death by hanging or death by firing squad, choosing any option that "may" result in quicker or less painful death seems moot, end result will be the same in pretty much the same timeframe.
Yanks had the right idea with 2nd amendment to overthrow corrupt and over-reaching governments, shame they don't have enough stones to use it in current climate, c'est la vie
baldelectrician has his views, which shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand.
Ohh well, if thats what yous want there's no keeping yous. See you all around, in a few centuries, see how we are all fixed then.I was quite content to leave it for a few years but the broken promises and sheer contempt for Scotland tied with the leaving the EU has brought it up the agenda
In the Good Friday agreement there is a 7 year wait between referendums, had we not been leaving the EU with all the chaos that ensues I would be happy to wait.
Lib Dem’s will especially promise anything, to get a sniff of power.
It's looking more and more like another hung parliment to me.Makes them no different to labour or conservative.
My prediction. Not who I want to win, but who I think will win.... is Tory.
And with enough seats to not have to join up with anyone else.
SNP, not intersted in what they do. (appologies to any Scots)
Agree, all the jocks I know, one of which is my best mate have no interest at all in the independence of Scotland....admittedly they all live down here ?Don't bundle all Scots in with the SNP.
I can see why you do not do predictions Snowhead, you're not very good at themPredictions,,, I have been known to be wrong,,
Boris 60 seat majority over all others.
Corbyn will just keep his seat but will refuse to resign as Leader of the loosing Oppositon Party.
Swinson won't get back in, Lib-Dems will get 2 or 3 seats. They may have to do the safest Lib Dem seat resign and By-election to get her back in.
SNP, not intersted in what they do. (appologies to any Scots)
Brexit maybe a dozen.
All the other minor groups Zero.
I can see why you do not do predictions Snowhead, you're not very good at them
Let me help with yours,
Johnson no majority, maybe a tiny one but I doubt it.
Corbyn will keep his seat, 30k majority, if Johnson has a small majority he will resign.
Agree on Swinson but disagree after that, 15-20 seats and no one will resign for Swinson.
SNP, I'm quite interest because they may well hold the ballence of power.
Brexit 'Party' no seats, that's none, zero, nill, zilch.
Other minor partys, Green 1.
