Discuss inverter to run a robinair recycling machine 34134z in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

look on the rating plate of the machine for its power rating in Watts (w) or (va)
take that figure and multiply by 3 and you will have a suitable sized inverter.

to be safe, if there are any delicate electronics in this machine, a pure sinewave inverter would be my recommended option.

i.e. if the rating is 450w then an inverter over 1350w should be suitable

Thank you so much for that info, will I be able to run the machine for an hour, should I have an extra battery hooked up?

I wouldn't run it from your vehicle battery as it will probably drain it quite quickly. You might get away with a leisure battery connected up to a dual charging system.

What is the current draw of the machine? How many times a day will you be using it? Is a portable generator an option?

Run time depends on the power rating of the machine, not the inverter.
Until we know the power usage, we can’t estimate run time on battery charge.
